3DConnexion mouses
If you have moved the cap and nothing happens, make sure the 3DConnexion driver (3DConnexionHelper.app) is not running - it intercepts the device and prevents the HID path from seeing reports.
To check if the 3DConnexion driver is running: in a terminal,
ps aux | grep -i 3d
If you get a line like

/Applications/3DconnexionHelper.app/Contents/MacOS/3DconnexionHelper
Either disable the automatic launch of 3DConnexionHelper.app, or simply close the process by specifying its process ID:
kill -9 36444
Warnings!
- there's still a problem with the PoissonRecon plugin, which causes random aborts.
- the Mesh-Boolean plugin is deactivated (broken build)
